The Gulf of Mexico offers some of the most exciting sport fishing around...Tarpon! The world record Tarpon was actually caught right here off the coast of Citrus County. You can expect to catch Redfish, Trout, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, shallow water Grouper, Cobia, Tarpon and more.

There is also another side of Citrus County waterfront property – the east side or the lake side. The City of Inverness is the main hub on the east side of Citrus County. As the county seat it is the home of the courthouse and much of the county government activities and surrounding businesses.

It is also surrounded by the Lake Tsala Apopka Lake Chain and many fine lake front communities such as Pritchard Island and Gospel island to name just a few. Here life moves at a slower pace.
